This thesis focuses on the topic of talent and identification of gifted pupils. The theoretical part explains the concept of talent and characteristics of gifted pupils, their educational needs and problems that may arise during school attendance. Furthermore, the possibilities, methodologies and procedures that teachers and schools can use to support these pupils during the educational process are exa-mined. The second part of this bachelor thesis analyzes the attitude of teachers to the education of gifted pupils. Specifically, it is a quantitative research that was carried out by a questionnaire survey. The aim of this research was to find out how familiar teachers are with the issue of identifying gifted pupils and how they perceive the support of these pupils from the education system. The results of the research are then presented and analyzed in the empirical part of this work.
Support for gifted students at eight- or six-year grammar schools

My thesis deals with the education and support of gifted and exceptionally gifted pupils at Czech multi-year gymnasia. The aim of the thesis is to find out how the support of gifted pupils is carried out in multi-year gymnasia we selected and what kind of teaching methods does teachers use when working with these pupils. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part summarizes findings on the issue of gifted students with an emphasis on their characteristics, identification and education. The course of the research investigation is described in the second part of the thesis. The results of the analysis of annual reports and school education programs of selected schools are evaluated here, and the results of the questionnaire survey are also discussed in this section. In addition to the form of support for gifted students at multi-year gymnasia, the connection between the form of support for gifted students with age, length of experience and teachers approval was also investigated. The conclusions of the research indicate that there is still insufficient support for gifted pupils. The methods that were mentioned most often by schools and by teachers are not very suitable for developing talents and supporting gifted students. Science competitions

This bachelor thesis is about science competitions. The first part of the thesis focuses on the factors influencing participation in science competition. The factors have been divided into four groups, the first group focuses on the motivation of pupils and students to participate in competitions. The second group focuses on the school environment and the personality of the teacher, the third group includes the factors of leisure activities. The fourth group discusses family environment factors including the socio-economic status of student's family. The second part of the paper discuses the issue of low participation of women in science competitions with possible suggestions to increase the number of female competitors. The third part of the thesis takes a closer look at the implications of participation in science competitions. Participation in a competition can affect a student both positively and negatively, so this chapter has been divided into sub-sections of Benefits and Negative. The fourth part of the thesis focuses on the impact of science competitions on the pupil's future career. Competitions influence a student's choice of college and future career.
The ways of identification gifted student with dual exceptionality by the first degree of elementary school's teacher

This thesis deals with methods of identification of a gifted student with dual exceptionality by a teacher at the 1st grade of elementary school. The aim of the work is to find out what specific methods teachers use to identify students with dual exceptionality. Do they use available identification methods for educators, or do they have their own tested procedures for identifying this group of gifted students. The aim is also to find out how the cooperation between teachers and experts of the school counseling office takes place in the identification of twice exceptional pupils. The theoretical part contains the characteristics of basic concepts such as giftedness, dual exceptionality, identification, methods of identification, specific learning disorders. Giftedness can occur with different types of handicaps, this thesis focuses on the combination of giftedness with specific learning disabilities that appears most often in the schools (participating in the research). That is the reason why specific learning disabilities are described in the theoretical part. Gifted students in basic school

The central theme of this work is the issue of gifted and exceptionally gifted pupils and their education in primary schools. The theoretical part of the work deals with terminology, models of giftedness, characteristic manifestations of gifted students, cognitive and non-intellectual features and a specific group of gifted children, which consists mainly of students with double exceptionality and underperformance. It also analyzes the educational and educational needs of the gifted, provides an overview of legislative documents related to it, and presents approaches recommended by experts that can be effectively applied to gifted students in compulsory school education. The aim of the research part is to analyze the experiences of pedagogues - educational advisors - with gifted pupils at primary schools in the Rychnov nad Kněžnou region, through self-constructed questionnaires, at the same time to analyze their attitudes, approaches and orientation in the issue, as well as how nomination and identification of these pupils takes place and how they are supported in their education. The title of this bachelor thesis is "Ways of Identifying Linguistically Talented Pupils by Primary School Teachers". It deals with the methods of identification of linguistically talented pupils by primary school teachers. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and describes talent and its definitions, characteristics of a talented individual and criteria of talent, types and kinds of talented individuals and their classification. It also describes displays talented pupils and their identification in a school environment, sampling of talented individuals and their education. Attention is equally dedicated to linguistic talent and talent for foreign languages itself. Practical part targets the linguistically talented pupils at primary schools and their teachers. A pupil with extraordinary talent in primary school

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of exceptionally gifted pupils in the first stage of primary school. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. Its theoretical part is focused on illuminating the basic concepts associated with the topic of talent. Its aim is to introduce the basic types of talent and their possible combinations together, to characterize gifted and exceptionally gifted students, to state possible ways of their identification and to present principles and possibilities of work in their education, together with support in leisure activities. It also provides an overview of legislation that deals with the upbringing and education of the gifted. In the practical part, a survey was conducted with the help of interviews, together with an analysis of documents and subsequently case studies were prepared focusing on the needs of individual exceptionally gifted students, their parents and teachers in the entire educational process.
Gifted child in today's pre-school nursery

This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of identifying gifted children within preschool education in kindergartens. The objective of the work is to find out whether teachers in kindergarten are able to identify gifted children and then their talents in a targeted manner further develop. It also focuses on how preschool educators perceive such a child, whether they know and possibly use targeted methods and practises for working with a gifted child. It maps whether teachers and parents are sufficiently informed about further possibilities of cooperation with professional institutions focused on development of gifted children. The theoretical part comprises of a basic theoretical background including a definition of the term talent and performance and education of a gifted child. In the practical part, a qualitative comparison and semi-structured interviews are used for the research survey. The survey is divided into two stages. First, kindergarten teachers are interviewed, then parents of gifted children. The results of both stages are summarized and compared. Answers to research questions are summarized in a conclusion.
